About Us

A Story of Land and Family

Behind every truffle that emerges from our land lies the story of a courageous decision and an unbreakable bond with nature. Ours is not merely a farm, but the dream of a family that has listened to the heartbeat of the Montalcino woods, safeguarding them for over fifty years.

On this page, we introduce you to the faces, hands and hearts of those who, every day, walk amongst these trees to protect and share with you a precious and authentic treasure.

From Sardinia to Montalcino

Our story does not begin in the hills of Tuscany, but amidst the wild scents of Sardinia. That is where my family’s roots lie, before my parents decided to move to Montalcino in the late 1960s. They brought with them a work ethic rooted in hard work and respect for the land – values that have found the perfect home on this farm, where time seems to have stood still.

Today, I am carrying on this precious family legacy, blending Sardinian resilience with the gentle beauty of the Tuscan landscape, to protect a woodland that is not merely our property, but an integral part of our identity.

The Reserve Staff

It is not just the truffles that make every experience in our reserve so special, but the people who devote their passion and expertise to caring for the woodland every day. I work alongside Giovanni and Ernesto, two young truffle hunters who share a genuine love for nature and the world of truffles. Their energy, combined with practical experience gained day by day, turns every outing into a real adventure.

They are not merely guides, but guardians of ancient secrets, capable of conveying to guests the magic of a quest that demands patience, silence and a deep connection with the surrounding environment.

Our Four-legged Friends

In a white truffle reserve, they are the true masters: our Lagotto Romagnoli dogs. These dogs, trained with the utmost care and boundless love, are much more than mere helpers; they are our most loyal companions in life and work.

With their unerring sense of smell and incredible gentleness, they guide Giovanni and Ernesto through the oak and poplar trees, turning every hunt into a silent dialogue of glances and understanding. Seeing the joy in their eyes and the excitement in their tails when they signal a treasure buried underground is the greatest thrill we seek to share with anyone who decides to step inside our reserve.
